Successful events are measured individually and as an entirety. Four days of competition at the world class level proved that the end result of Hanmadang 2008 can only be considered a success. From the minute athletes and spectators entered the Anaheim convention center, the high energy and anticipation that filled the venue was electric. For a world class event like Hanmadang to draw so many participants from 30 countries around the globe and America to gather in Anaheim was historic. Plans have already been made to hold the 2010 Hanmadang in Rome, Italy. It will return to Seoul for 2009, and we can expect that the Kukkiwon will continue to work with other nations in coming years. To all who came to Anaheim, whether you won, placed or lost, you were part of history, and your attendance was greatly appreciated. To those that did not, you will have another opportunity next year.
